Family says gun violence killed their innocent son

OMAHA, Neb. —The family of Omaha's latest shooting victim says their happy, beloved son and brother was taken by senseless gun violence.

Brandon Samuels was shot early Friday morning near 24th and Ida streets. The 21-year-old died on the way to the hospital.

Police have interviewed people who were at the party where Samuels was shot but have not named the gunman.

"It's not fair that an innocent person lost their life because somebody wanted to shoot," said Christine Partridge, Samuels' sister.

At the mere whim of the shooter.

That's what we're talking about here.

and I hope they find him. I feel the same way about drunk drivers that kill many more just because they want to drive.

I'll remember to keep my personal safety device holstered today. I'll also keep it concealed properly....safety first, accidents never.

Were they at a party? Answered...
Was there drinking involved?
Was it gang related?
Was there some kind of altercation before the shooting?
Was it a drive by?
Was it some guy showing off his legal firearm?
Was it some guy showing off his illegal firearm?

What were the circumstances...we don't know one thing other than someone was killed. We're not here just to share stories, there should be discussion...

Just whining someone was killed doesn't a good story make. I take nothing away that can be applied in my daily life as it's presented.
