Homan Square detainee: I was sexually abused by police at Chicago 'black site'
Spencer Ackerman in New York Thursday 14 May 2015 17.50 BST For psychological reasons, Angel Perez does not call what happened to him rape. But he vividly recalls being taken to Homan Square, a warehouse used by the Chicago police for incommunicado detentions, where police inserted something into his rectum. “I felt the coldness and the metallic aspect of it,” Perez, 33, told the Guardian. It was 21 October 2012. The day before, Perez had been driving his Rav-4 on his restaurant delivery route when he says police accosted him, wanting him to contact a drug dealer who they believed Perez knew so they could arrange a sting. But Perez was less cooperative than they had hoped. Now, Perez was handcuffed by his right wrist to a metal bar behind a bench in an interrogation room on the second floor of Homan Square. Behind him were two police officers that a lawsuit Perez recently re-filed identifies as Jorge Lopez and Edmund Zablocki. They had been threatening him with a stint at the infamously violent Cook County jail if he didn’t cooperate. 1. This was the story on The Good Wife last Sunday night.
Alicia gets a call from a client. Voices in the background. No one can reach him. Used his cell to track him to Homan. Police denied he was there. Then they said he wasn't under arrest therefore he doesn't get mirandized or a lawyer or phone call. They lied and pulled stunts to prevent her from getting access. She had to trip the police up in court to get access.
It was DAMN SCARY. The scariest lawyer episode I think I've ever seen. And the man in your post survived it. |

4. Yes, in Chicago, except for a few occasional
Scenes that are supposed to be in Springfield at the governor's office. They do a lot of outside production.

5. Now I will have to watch it
Just out of curiosity, did they ever do an episode about a doctor that video taped women in his washroom?

2. I read this last night
I was actually going to post it in GD today. But, frankly, I was not emotionally prepared for the responses I know would be coming
Chicago is the mecca of police brutality. We have such a horrendous record. Very little has been done. If it weren't for the few, brave cops that came forward, nothing would have been done at all This needs to end |
