I cried my eyeballs out at that one and was mad at myself that I watched it because I knew it was going to be heartwrenching.

Unless this is it? Somehow I don't think so... But it's the only movie that came close to 'Hachi, A Dog's Tale' Netflix search turned up.

Would Redbox have it? Does anyone know?

I found it to watch for free somewhere on the internet, but off the top of my head I can't remember where. I'll look at some of the sites I use to watch movies online and see if I can find it again.

Ok, found it... it's on gorillavid, and this should take you right to it...

Depending on what time of day it is it might take a while to start up. I've always noticed that it's really fast early in the morning and really late at night especially during the week days.

THere's also an app that you can use with Firefox that will let you download movies from certain sites so you can burn them onto a disc and watch it on your tv. They usually download as .flv files so you'd have to convert them, but I checked and this one surprisingly downloads directly as an .mp4 so you wouldn't need to convert it before burning onto disc. i just can't remember what the app is called... all that shows on my comuter is the little icon that spins around if there's something on a site that you can download. If you're interested I can figure out where the name of the app is hiding on here.

along with the other info.

I look forward to watching that. Just got done washing an enormous pile of dishes. Too bad I didn't see your link before I started. I often enjoy watching movies while doing mundane tasks. But it's just as well I suppose, since as you say, it tends to run faster in the morning. My DSL is bad enough on it's own, so picking the optimum time would be best anyway.

I don't use Firefox, but may eventually. I've seen many people here on DU recommending it. If I can download movies w/it, that will be a plus. I hate messing around w/computer related things, but it sounds like it might be worth it. Thanks again!

at peak times of the day, and thankfully, once it starts it plays normally all the way through without any of that buffering nonsense. I probably find that minute or two wait annoying because I almost always do it late at night or really early in the morning since I'm a night person. This one the audio wasn't quite loud enough so you might have to crank your speakers all the way up. I just sat through watching it again thinking the second time around I wouldn't end up weeping buckets again, but no such luck.

The add-on for Firefox is called Downloadhelper. I know it works on YouTube, gorillavid, movpod, firebox, filenuke, sockshare and putlocker. Between all them I've been able to find pretty much everything there is - even silent movies from the 1920's and '30's! It's easy to use, and I'm no computer wizz by any stretch of the imagination. Though it has a download+convert function that's never worked for me, so I got a free converter to convert .flv files to .mp4 files for those few great movies I wanted to burn to disc so I could watch them on the tv. I got this one...

It's simple to use though converting can take a long time, but I just go do something else while it's doing it in the background. I figure it was worth it for me just to get Doctor Zhivago, The Great Escape and Monty Python's Holy Grail on disc to watch on my tv... I can watch those films a dozen times and never get tired of them. This converter is freeware so you don't get a watermark stamped in the middle of the film and isn't one of those "use free for 30 days then buy" quasi-free things.
