14. I had a neighbor with a greyhound named Dexter

That's when I used to live a few blocks up the street from here. A lot of those neighbors had greyhound rescues from the dog racing industry. Dexter was so handsome and had a gorgeous brindle coat. Dexter was the coolest one though. He and my first Akita got along great (he was either rather indifferent to other dogs or wanted to kill them on sight). That was the first place we always went on our walks... across the street to Dexter's house to see if he was in his yard for some kissy-kissy-wag-wag through the fence.

In any case, the name Dexter makes me think of that dog, so I really like that name for a dog. It's different but not too different. I hope they name him Dexter.

Rescued greyhounds are the best. I dated a guy whose family had 3 of them and they make terrific pets.

I would just kiss that little guy until I got gnawed up by the puppy teeth! Which exactly what I did with my dog when we got her as a pup a couple of years ago, LOL.
