Homemade KONG filling for you buddies!
As a rescue dog lover and parent of 2 smart asses and a princess, I spoil 'em with KONG filling that is healthy and a LOT less expensive than the pre mix in stores.
Here it is, hope you can use it:
1- 12 ounce package of liverwurst
12 ounces cheerios or other 'oat-ey' cereal ( this is to soak up excess moisture)
can green beans.( or 8 ounce frozen then thawed)
can carrots ( or 8 ounce frozen then thawed)
half dozen scrambled eggs
Mix it together in a mixer, and it freezes great. i make up 3 bags so it does not get old. they love this filling!
Additional time for this treat can be had if you freeze the filled KONGS. I fill them , freeze them, and then when i have to leave for a few hours, everybody gets a nutritious filled, frozen KONG.
