Gravy. Just wanted to share.
Made this “make-ahead” gravy yesterday in between candy making and organizing my Tupperware drawer 😂 Took forever but was yummy.
Saved half for Turkey day and used half with roasted chicken quarters at dinner. Really good gravy. Probably the best I’ve ever made. We’re smoking our turkey so I added a dash of liquid smoke. And I put a quarter cup of powdered cream in with my flour to make it richer - but I’m not sure I needed it! https://www.instagram.com/tv/CHxqCm7ome0/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

2. Looks delicious!
I envy your energy! I’ve been a total slog as we approach this holiday. No use getting excited. We’re staying home alone. I did go out and buy a pre-cooked turkey yesterday.

3. Question --
You mentioned powdered cream. Could you explain what that is? Do you mean a type of coffee creamer?
Thanks! |

5. Sorry I didn't reply...
... it’s on Amazon.com. I looked for some shelf-stable things this time last year when we started hearing a bit about the virus. And I got powdered heavy cream. I keep reordering, it’s great for soups, sauces and gravy but you don’t have to take up room in the fridge or have any go to waste.

4. Watched with audio off -- what does he do with the rest of it after straining?
Seems pretty edible to me, bits of vegis, turkey or chicken bits -- that must be used in some fashion? This also seems like an awful lot of effort and extra expense for gravy but maybe that's just me.

6. I pulled meat off the bone and took out onions...
Then served the leavins with rice to my dogs over a day or two. They were very happy.
