What's for dinner where you are?

1. nuttin'

I have to work.

Maybe some snacks when I get home.

I'm thinking popcorn and an apple.

2. Roasted veggies - potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, onions, celery, garlic...

3. Fried chicken, corn the cob, green salad

And smashed potatoes.

4. Caesar salad. Fruit of the Woods pie. Yummy.

5. Steamed dunguness crab.

Yum..... With plenty of butter.

6. Yum is right.

The only shellfish we have down here is these horrible rock lobsters. No claws - which is my favorite part.

I'l love to have some fresh crab.

7. Ate a store bought rotisserie chicken last night and made broth today.

I think I am going to just add rice to that.

And then some sandwiches with the rest of the chicken and some slaw.

I have been a total slug today, so maybe some fruit for dessert, but I didn't really earn much else.

10. Subway BMT Italian

DH gets home on Sunday, so will be motivated to cook again. Howinhell do widows and widowers cope with this?

11. Not a widow, but

I'm single...

My next door neighbors (who are aMAZing neighbors) are frequently the recipients of my cooking experiments. I was asked to bring pumpkin soup to last years Thanksgiving dinner and they suffered through four versions to help settle on a recipe.

Gladys will frequently remind me that I *DO* have a freezer... but it's more fun to share.

12. Both of us should probably start extending our friendship circles beyond politics

--and do food sharing and stuff. We are both of an age where we realize that one way or another, one of us is going first.
