(102,200 posts)I have the one that lets you make yogurt---what a blessing. I make at least a gallon every week--sometimes two.
I've made my "kitchen sink" vegetable beef soup in only twenty minutes of pressure cooking after first sauteing the beef in the pot. Normally takes about 10-12 hours on slow cook cycle and in the instant pot, the vegetables were not overcooked and the meat was much more tender.
There is a reason these things fly off the shelves and sell out at Christmas on Amazon.com every year.
Highly recommended. One of five appliances I'd keep if I were to move to a "tiny house".

(1,089 posts)I have had so much fun with it. Did a cooking demo for my sister-in-law on Christmas Day. Guess what her present was?

(23,302 posts)In fact, gave away my two slow cookers once I realized I would never use them again after learning to use the instant pot...you can sauté in it, delay cooking...pressure cook, steam...keep stuff warm...I don't think there's anything it doesn't do. Game changer to be sure. Best thing to come into my kitchen since the Vitamix.
