How to Make Salad

'The modern salad can be a tiny, pristine head of lettuce with a drizzle of olive oil or a huge bowl packing a day’s worth of vegetables, dairy and grain. All can be quick, irresistible and easy, but that’s not to say salads don’t require any effort. We’ll look at three types — green, single-subject and big — before walking you through dressing, tossing and topping your salad. With a little planning, the salad bowl can be the brightest spot of your meal.'>>>

Your salad sounds great. How 'nice' to have beefsteaks! I did have a boiled egg in my salad/dinner tonight, cucumbers, baby beets, peas, green and yellow beans, celery, sweet red pepper, balsamic dressing.

Shredded romaine lettuce
finely diced sweet onion
diced red bell pepper
shredded carrots, the more the better
diced roma tomato, the whole tomato
crumbled blue cheese
Caesar style croutons
buttermilk ranch dressing

Served in a huge bowl with iced water to drink. Now THAT'S a salad!
I have this for dinner several times a week. The produce section at my local HEB grocery store keeps me well supplied with these delectables!

The greens should be completely dry. ...
The greens should be bite-sized. ...
Put the greens in a really big bowl. ...
Add any other vegetables you like (make sure they are dry too). ...
Always dress your salad. ...
Most dressings need a touch of sweetness. ...
Taste the dressing first.
