What's for Dinner, Mon., July 6, 2015

Probably a cup of yogurt at 6 p.m., and whatever I can muster from the refrig at home around 10:30 p.m.

The RG is going out for dinner, due to my new work schedule, and he might bring me a take-out from whatever restaurant he goes to.

With my new job, I work Mon-Thurs from 4-10. Kinda' messes up what we might call one of those intimate candle light dinners. I have 6-6:50 for dinner, but that's not enough time for anything. There is a nice, privately owned Whole Foods-type market in the neighborhood, so I may explore that tonight.

On another note, I put a pork roast in the slow-cooker early this a.m. and I also did turkey cutlets, breaded in panko, basil, rosemary, and almonds. The pork roast had previously been marinated in mushroom marinade. It all turned out to be quite delicious, and I can take that for dinner over the next few evenings.

I don't want to turn the oven on. However, we ate heavier foods over the weekend so I feel like we need something a little lighter tonight. It's only 83 but it's humid and feels hotter. Whine whine whine.
