That had that black licorice undertaste. That's what most Thai food tastes like to me. Most of it seemed like basic stir fry with the Thai basil added. Oh and it's Hot.

My advice is grow one of those Thai basils this summer and get a nice cook book or check Pin-terest for a recipe.

I'm an avid gardener and was planning to up the production of cilantro, but I hadn't thought of Thai basil.

And how I have more garden space. I want to grow herbs, too. My friends did theirs in containers so they could take the favorites inside for the winter.

I've made this one, it's a favorite, it's interesting because it uses a vegetable not normally associated with Asian food at least in the west and really good served with sticky rice

also for an herb garden Lemon Grass plants are becoming more widely availible and are pretty easy to grow

I suppose anything can as long as I bring it in in the fall if it's a tender perennial. I'll have to look for a place to buy some plants.

I'm in NH so we're equally cold . . . unfortunately. Spring can't come soon enough.

they can be started from seed indoors and then moved to an outdoor garden or grown in containers and moved back and forth

and no spring seems almost over due I can't wait either
