I'm ashamed to admit I made this. Most unhealthy thing ever, but it's that good.

It's a St. Louis Gooey Buter Cake, but not one made with a mix. It has a yeast dough base. It is outrageously delectable.
Come to think of it, I take back the ashamed part. I'm kinda thrilled that I made this.

The author of the recipe puts it this way:

Think spun sugar. Cotton candy. Toasted campfire marshmallows. The burnt sugar lid of the best crème-brulee you’ve ever had, the kind that took five spoon taps to break through. Then march straight into the nearest kitchen to get on this, and don’t let a thing or a think talk you out of it.

She's right. Here's the recipe:

I think I've had that before, and if I recall correctly, you can't eat much of it at one time without getting a sugar rush/overload

However, the following is the most unhealthy thing you can make/eat, yet I've been told by some that eating it is better than sex!

this time I put a layer of cherry preserves between the yeast bottom and the gooey part.

You could do anything- citrus fruit zest, serve it with fresh berries macerated in a bit of Grand Marnier

It's my current favorite sweet to bake.
