It's almost too beautiful to eat!

(31,170 posts)12. They really are pretty. I have a fascination with day of the dead/sugar skulls lately,
i've been looking at some folk art paintings which are gorgeous...the design would translate well to food.

I may try and make a batch next time my sisters come to visit. They can help decorate!

(31,170 posts)10. They are gorgeous. Those mahjong cookies I found the other day were
too pretty to eat too, but i'd manage.

Time consuming, too, I'll bet.
Lucinda
(31,170 posts)9. Probably. But maybe not too bad if you did them assembly line style....
work each layer of the cookie from the bottom up...?

(31,170 posts)8. LOL I know the feeling.
I'm really slow these days, and I'd have to keep the cats out of my way, but it would be fun to make these cookies.

nice detail work!
Lucinda
(31,170 posts)7. They really are. I saw some mahjong tile cookies the other day that were
also little mini works of art. That side of cooking really appeals to me now. I'll dig in and work for something detailed like this cookies occasionally...but otherwise I want simplicity when I cook.
