over egg noodles, I think...

Grocery store, too, so I'm thinking I'll stock up on root vegetables for something roasted later on...

the kitchen is pretty bare at the moment. I need to do some meal planning and get to the store.

Watching football all day, even though my hapless Steelers aren't on since they played (miserably) on Thursday night.

Dinner will be hash browns, chicken sausage, biscuits, scrambled eggs and hot chocolate. Daughter has a guest over, and the kids will love it.

Dessert is homemade blondies with vanilla ice cream and sweetened condensed milk poured over.

My wife and middle daughter are still working on the pesto. We got a SHITLOAD of it this year, and pulled it in before the first frost hit. If you make a basil and oil base, you can freeze it and pull it out whenever to add the other ingredients. It's on the menu for tonight and I'm already salivating. Great crop. Great crop.

some leftover protein, basil tomato sauce with a sprinkling of grated mozzarella. I was going to have a salad, but was wicked and gorged on too much pasta.

I roasted all the extra tomatoes from the garden and froze them in Ziplock bags. I added a few cans of Hunt's tomato sauce and hit it with the immersion blender to break up the tomatoes. Fried up some fresh meatballs and made salad. It was delicious. Plain fried meatballs are the BOMB!

What a treat. Got a great deal on giant scallops; two per person is sufficient.
