(11,093 posts)Sliced it in half. Made a mixture of brown sugar, jamaiacan jerk seasoning, and some applewood seasoning rub, and covered it; let it sit about 10 minutes while I heated up the grill. Grilled it to perfection (still juicy!) and let it cool a little then sliced into thin slices, which we both ate and the remainder is yummy sandwich meat.

I love an omelet for dinner. Mmmm.
Rainy weekend; I'm set with some new foodie things to read. Picked up another old south cookbook at the thrift shop as well as some older Martha Stewart Living magazines.
Oh, I meant to mention in C&B something about old foodie magazines. At the library's weekly sale I picked up about ten issues of the old Chocolatier magazine. I should have bought all they had, but I thought I would pick up the rest the following week. NOPE!! They were gone the following week, dammit. Anyway, because that magazine was only published for two years, it apparently has become a collectors' item. I checked it out on eBay and saw that some of the issues are selling for twenty or thirty bucks each!
So if you are going to dump old specialized cooking magazines, you might want to check values first.
