Another food that I don't make often enough. I was playing around with lentil loaves a couple of years ago and came up with one that was great for sandwiches. The recipe died with my PC though!

Baked potato, steamed asparagus, and a French roll. Sorbet for dessert--choice of strawberry or blackberry-Cabernet.

If my sweetie doesn't want that, I have cheese ravioli in the freezer and some pesto at the ready.

I'll just freeze the leftovers then.

I really hope you will be feeling better soon or that the change in weather will help.

Frankly, I am exhausted right now, but feel like I have accomplished something. We are taking off for some remote islands on Sunday (weather permitting) with no phone, no internet, pretty much nothing to do and nowhere to spend a single penny. And we are going with two of our best friends. So there is a big payoff at the end.

Anyway, enough about me. I wish there was something I could do or say to make you feel better.... other than send you a cyberhug.

It sounds like a lot of fun!

As for me, I see my doc on the 16th and am going to talk about medicine changes. Hope fully that will help some!

Pan sauteed with garlic, fresh greek oregano, a dash of EVOO, and lemon. Served with tzatziki, pita bread, baby greens and my own yellow plum tomatoes and fresh mint.

Today was the day to pull the tomato plants and put all the green orbs on the windowsill. After nearly 3 1/2 months with no measurable rain, the weather will change on Friday. Lots of rain coming. So I decided to pull plants now. Wah!

The river is so very very low from the arid summer. There are beaches where there were none! I will miss the water skiers and college crew boats. But the Canada geese will provide much entertainment.

Welcome, fall. Three more Sunday farmers markets, then it's over til spring.

My daughter was off today so she cooked dinner. We also had glazed carrots and roasted asparagus on the side. It was delicious! The carcass will end up as a pot of chicken pastine soup.
