I made a strawberry cake

The strawberry farm next to my neighborhood opened Thursday for picking. I went yesterday and got a nice haul of fresh berries.

I was thinking of a piece of strawberry cake my neighbor gave me a few years ago. Never knew you could bake something like that with strawberries, but it was really good. I still had frozen berries left from last year. So I found a recipe online and made a 1/2 cake. It turned out good. I didn't frost the cake, but I did put Cool Whip on I imagine if you didn't want to bake from scratch, you could use a box mix and add chopped strawberries before you bake it.
