What's for Dinner, Sat., Feb. 20, 2021

Tacos, served in a pitcher of water.

Not kidding. The RG made tacos and when he handed me my plate, one fell off right into the pitcher of water we always keep on the table during meals.

Now oddly enough, he took it right out and it was OK!

Needless to say, we had to get another pitcher of water. Taco water. Ummm, no.

In addition to tacos, he showed me how to make an unusual salad. It had a hot dressing made of olive oil, cider vinegar, red onion slices, and garlic. Tear up romaine leaves and then whisk this hot salad dressing over it. It's a good salad to go with tacos.

For dessert, we had expresso chip Haagen Daz, which was entirely melted and served in small espresso cups. A milk chocolate bar to go with it.

For drinks, I had cherry Pepsi and the RG had wine.

2. Nice!

I often have Ben + Jerry's Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz, as a 'midnight' treat; sounds similar to your H D expresso chip; I sometimes combine it with H D coffee ice cream, to moderate some of the Buzz.

NYC takeout pizza with green peppers, mushrooms and Italian sausage.

Mixed salad on the side with creamy dressing.

The Landlady(!) and I got our second doses of the Moderna vaccine. Shots of brandy for dessert.

And rice. No lobster in the dish, but it was great. You boil up some ground pork in chicken stock, that Is the “secret”.

Home made from scratch pizza with Canadian bacon, hot Italian sausage, sliced Roma tomatoes, mozzarella, and sauce, washed down with Rogue Newport Daze Hazy Pale Ale. It's a good Saturday Date Night dinner for the Age of Covid.
