I know the 1890 Federal census was destroyed in a

fire, unfortunately, but didn't the states keep their own statistics and archive them? Finding the 1890 Indiana census would help me immensely.

there is nothing uniform.

5. Have you tried the state census?

Sometimes you can get census info that way.

6. I went to the Indiana GenWeb page and they have some

counties uploaded but not the 2 I need, Jackson and Jennings. I will try to contact the county site curator and see if they have any information. Thank you for your reply.

7. I am not sure what specific information you are looking for, but church records

might be helpful as well.

8. There is this site that says some states have and still conduct their own census.

https://ancestralfindings.com/state-censuses-substitutes-for-the-1890-us-federal-census/

The article also says ancestry.com has every state census at their site.
