itching! medicine advice?

My doctor put me on Zoloft because I was having panic attacks, but ever since then, I''ve e felt like I've had a thousand ants crawling on me! In my pants, under my armpits, everywhere!

Itch itch itch!!

I started on 25mg dosage but it wasn't helping much with the attacks so he upped me to the 50mg recently and I've felt much better, other than this ITCHING!

I don't know if I should risk giong back down to 25mg or just stick with the 50mg and hope the itching goes away after a few weeks. I haven't talked to my doctor yet but I will when I go in for my physical next week.

I didn't know if you guys might have had the same problem and maybe could suggest something other than Zoloft for the attacks or to help the itching?

I feel like the time I ate two niacin pills on a bet! This itching is driving me batty!! I tried taking a hot shower to see if it helped and it didn't do anything.

Itch! itch itch!

I dont know if he is in tomorrow (we are getting snow here ) but I will try to call

I hate to go to the emergency room because I can't afford it but it might beat scratching myself all over with a pine cone on a stick which is what I am doing now.

I read that it can make a panic attack even worse! I had a terrible night last night, no sleep

The itching has subsided this morning, and I'm trying to get ahold of my doctor or somebody. I'm going to see if he will get me on something else.

but via cream. Might be an option (mention to doc?) if staying on zoloft.

Good itching has subsided.

.... than most Doctors, I don't think it'd be wise to seek medical advice from anyone here.

You compared it to the flushing you got with niacin? Call your Doctor, and my next suggestion would be to Call your Doctor. I did Zoloft for awhile. Don't remember anything about it. I think my psychiatrist is on a contest where he sees how many drugs he can get me to take.

Oh, and call your Doctor.
