The shoulder surgery went well.

it is still completely numb and braced. I am still zonked out of my mind from all the meds. Now, the healing part begins. And, remember, I do not do pain. So, I feel so sorry for my beloved hubby.

4. If it were due to something else, sure. But, I really dislike opioid pain meds.

Which is why I find the docs comments about 'addiction' concerns funny. Trust me doc, every time I am given those things they usually last like 6-8 months, not 30 days.

6. I hear you

I was prescribed Vicodin once and it made me very sick indeed, was too strong

I do prefer the Tylenol with codeine though, much milder.

5. I feel your pain.

Fractured my shoulder on May 4. Didnít heal right, so had open reduction and fixation surgery (plates and screws) on June 1. Six weeks in an abduction sling. Ten weeks of no sleep.

Iím 12 weeks post op today, deep into physical therapy, and progressing well, but it is a long fucking road. You have my support and sympathy. I wouldnít wish this on anyone.
