My psychiatrist said this morning to stop beating myself up

I told him about the car accident. I found out my deductible is $500. I'm not fixing the scrape on my car. So, making sure I didn't cancel the lady's claim, I canceled my collision appointment. Thats half a month's rent.

No word on getting the cobra check returned. Although they call themselves "customer centric" the COBRA company is not easy. You get sent from person to person, having to explain your tale to five different people. The reps attitude was that's kinda customers' tough luck. He's supposed to email me.

I got a letter from the PO that I have Informed Delivery. My two, one accidental accounts online say I don't. I should never have bothered signing up. I get the mail I get.

I just want to make sure nothing interferes woih my mail delivery.

1. Myself, when I get in a mental loop, and can't stop dwelling on things. I sometimes just say stop it

Out loud as a reminder to myself. It works sometimes

9. No! It's an over the counter herbal supplement. It calms you down.

3. I saw in another thread you had to make a quick payment

to cobra because of that check that they had not received.

If you have confirmed they did get paid, just call your bank with the check number and tell them to cancel it because it's lost.

4. Call your bank and do a stop payment on that check

Might cost a little (my bank is $35) but worth it.

6. They cashed it right before I canceled it

Thinking it was lost. 31 bucks. Once I see it clear, I'll call the bank. I did call the COBRA company to tell them I paid online, and the check was canceled. They said, No problem, we'll note that and destroy the check. No one noted it. I feel like nothing I do smooths things over, no matter what due diligence something screws up

5. Believe it or not

ey cashed the check and hour before it was canceled. I spoke to a rep about getting that money reimbursed, and he wasn't thrilled. He's supposed to email me after talking to "finance" that check has been applied to September's payment.

Which is where I want to leave it. Too much hassle and difficulty. I'm only paying online FHOO. NEVER going through this PO delivery stress again.

11. I would reschedule collision appt

Depending on your ins, they might issue you a check for anything in excess of $500 and, if other driver was at fault, your ins should make them pay all of it.

14. Well, a claim could cause rate to increase, but

If damage was over $500, they might just cut you a check.

16. Yw

What might look like minor damags to you could actually be quite a significant amount of work.

Just something to consider.
