Having panic attack

Hope all are well. I'm having panic attack. Deep breathing. Trying to distract myself with DU and TV, Midsomer Murders.

Thanks for reading. I have to have hope for the future.

10. So you know

It can just come out of nowhere. I had corneal surgery Thursday, and life just seems so unsettled. I'm trying to go on disability. My SO is disabled.

Just hits me

7. We're here for you. If there's something we can say or do for you, please just ask. The first

thing I thought of was, gee, do I know a really funny joke I could send to at least make you smile. Oh well, darn, none came to mind.

Get well.

13. Walk

List the names of the state in your head. If that doesn't work, dunk your face in cold water. If all else fails, go to ER.

18. My walks save me. I'm lucky that right out my door is a nice old residential area with lots

of trees, birds, and squirrels. It's so important that I have gear for anything less than a blizzard. I can be totally comfortable out there in any weather I'm likely to see.

30. +1

Thatís what I do when Iím experiencing bad stress too. It really helps for grounding me and getting the excess energy out.

When I was diagnosed with PD my landlady asked me why I walked around so much (she lived under me). With cognitive therapy I rarely have PAs anymore but still deal with GA.

22. Sorry to hear that. I don't get them but know people who do

And it appears totally random to an observer. I had a coworker sitting next to me who got them occasionally. Heíd curl up in a ball under his desk and take a Xanax. I donít even often have anxiety more than a couple minutes and i hate the feeling. Really sorry for those who suffer with it.

Both on britbox. Has been our way of coping with omicron and other Covid stupidity.

Stay strong.

I went through several years where panic attacks were a real problem. It gradually got better, and then eventually much better. Best wishes.

29. Lay down.

Close your eyes breath in and out. Big breaths let it out through your mouth slowly. Clear your mind and just concentrate on the breathing.

31. I used to have them, even when sleeping

and nothing in particular stressing me out. I found out that the pounding chest was eased rapidly by breathing into a bag on your face for a few moments. It works. It can be a paper or plastic bag, whatever you have available.

34. Have had panic attacks since I was a teenager. Medication never really helped. EFT has

helped the most. Sometimes I do it if I cannot sleep, too. It helps me stop worrying.

Sending healing thoughts
