You know how expensive drugs are, esp. cancer drugs?...... I found a way around that.

I will taking an anti cancer pill once a day for up to 5 years or even longer.

The cost for name brand pills is around $600 for a supply of 30 tablets.

The cost for generic is 300.00 to 450.00, depending on what pharmacy in town. Cash price, we have no drug insurance.

Bought them today for $21.49, 30 days supply, using an online GoodRx.com coupon which Wal-Mart honors.
Even the pharmacy assist. could not believe the price, she and Mr. Dixie were sharing amazement.
I am stunned that something that sounded too good to be true actually worked.

We can afford this treatment, at least for now.

Good work! I have seen the GoodRx site, not for me since I have a Medicare Part D plan, but excellent for you! I've found that Wal-mart's drug prices are much lower than my local Walgreens, and I've begun going there for anything other than emergencies, since it's a bigger drive. like my Emend, anti-nausea med, was about $75 cheaper. When I start Xarelto in two weeks, that's where I'll go.

You might find buying them for cash will cost less than using your insurance.
This has been true for several people I know.
Of course, that does not mean all meds will be cheaper, but still, worth a look at the discount site to see...cain't hurt.

I went to their site and checked. I see it wouldn't really have been cheaper for me. But it was smart of you to suggest that I look. I priced my two breathing drugs too. All about the same (in one case, a bit more). What a dumb system we have in this country. Thanks, GWB.

5. Even with insurance you can apply for assistance in some cases ...

an over 3K a month drug we pay under $50. a month, but that first month is a killer, until you meet your deductible, then it slowly gets better. Try going to the drug company for assistance.

and hopefully picking up a 90 days supply of the meds at another drug store for 40.00, in a few hours.
