I have zero apatite.

I just don't want to eat. I know I should, but I can't really bring myself to eat.
Is this normal with MS or could it be because of my depression?

1. Loss of appetite is common with depression....just force yourself and

eat about 6 small meals a day.

2. Are you deliberately drinking water?

The shock of your recent bad news and loss and your deptession would kill your appetite.

But you need to be deliberate about drinking water.

4. Drinking water has been no problem.

For some reason I want water more than food.

3. Can you find a supplement you might like? Could be your Med plan would pay for it. If you are on

anti-depressants, certain of them suppress appetite while others can help stimulate. Hope you can
see your doctor about this. Realize many donít deal with nutrition, just not on their radar. Fight for
help with this though.

I am no doctor, but experience has shown me the importance of getting enough nutrition, especially when dealing with medical conditions.

5. Would something like Ensure help you get vitamins and nutrients?

Since you're okay with liquids, this may be the way to go. I wish you well.

6. A friend has had MS for ages. She doesn't do a medical treatment, but read all she could and uses

Supplements. She doesn't seem depressed, but her days and nights are pretty well switched around.
