Massachusetts Senate President Stan Rosenberg has married his long-time partner.
BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts Senate President Stan Rosenberg has married his long-time partner.
WGBH-FM reported that Rosenberg, an Amherst Democrat, and Bryon Hefner were married on Tuesday.
A statement issued by a spokeswoman for the Senate leader said a private ceremony was held at Cambridge City Hall.
The 66-year-old Rosenberg and the 29-year-old Hefner have been together since 2008.
Rosenberg became the first openly gay leader of a legislative chamber in Massachusetts when he took the gavel as Senate president in January 2015.
