Another One. Trump will announce soon, that he is not running for re-election. He may resign soon

Why?...If Trump does not run, then, he gets out without having to defend himself over and over.with "Oh, we did a great job in fighting the virus." .. That is such a lie, that it could destroy Trump's chances of making money and appearing on talk shows...

....Defending his behavior and what he has said, will make him look even stupider than he now looks. (Hard to believe?) ..But, I believe Trump will avoid all of that, and become a very quiet person ...like Nixon was after his resignation...That is even harder to believe. But it will save some of his reputation..(some, among those that still respect him).

...Note: we are not talking about a break in and a cover up. We are talking about tens of thousands of deaths due to failure to adequately warn about something.,,which is the President's job. By not running or resigning, Trump almost allows for some criticism of his tenure, which in some areas might...(I said might)... save the Republican Party's existence) As this is written in Creative Speculation, I believe that some advisors & party professionals are now trying to get him to announce that he will not run for re-election in order the name of the Republican Party.
....Trump cannot win. His behavior is not defensible.

...Will this happen? Unlikely...but that is why they named it, "Creative Speculation"

1. He will be bragging about his great brain

and what a swell job he did on his death bed. He’ll never resign.

2. If he could cut a deal for immunity from prosecution, he would certainly not run

Once he realizes that he can’t win and that Bill Barr cannot protect him out of office, I am sure that he could be convinced not to run if he could cut a deal that allows him his wealth, status and stay out of prison.

4. ...Yes, that deal could be the key. & 4 words, "Stay out of prison" maybe add a few more:

" no trial of any kind."
... But Trump cannot prevent "law suits." Law suits will never end.

3. Maybe a health crisis or a behind-the-scenes deal could possibly provoke

him to stand down for re-election. He'll have narcissistic fantasies about how fabulous his life will be after the White House, all the deals he'll make all over the world, but his prospects are poor and his health could decline. He won't be off the hook for many of the things he's done, even though he thinks he will get away from it all.

I don't believe he can physically or mentally sustain the level of anger, anxiety, self-pity, insomnia and (this is creative speculation) drug abuse he requires to maintain his whole "game" for another four years. There's a cost to all of that.

Your speculation is appreciated.

6. I don't know... his lies and magic thinking works

For 44% of the population. He just has to say and get Jared to say it's a success and they believe it. He will lose ... but then say he won. The insanity is too great now.

7. I think he's just in it for the media exposure

and the taxpayer-funded golf outings, no more...

8. You keep thinking something will happen

that will make him go away before the election. No. Unless the virus or some other ailment gets him, it won't. He won't resign; he won't be impeached; the GOP will still support him and the MAGAts will adore him. Only the election or the Grim Reaper will get rid of him. Give it up.

9. No. Trump can not understand "if A then B"

He doesn’t think like that.
He only thinks "will A impress my followers right now or insult Obama?"
That's it.

11. I think that Trump really believes all the things he brags about

Which proves he is crazy.

He is going to fight to the end. He is going to use every dirty trick in the book and the Senate and the courts are going to back him to the hilt.

12. Or he might get taken back to his planet of origin

"Sorry he got loose, folks," the alien commander explains. "We're surprised he hasn't destroyed the planet up to now."

14. As far as going back to "his planet of origin"..I have talked to the commander, "We won't take him..

back because he almost destroyed our planet, Also, we suggest you pass him on to another planet, and forget him as we did."

13. The only way that he'd quit..

... is if he can get even more attention elsewhere.

Compared to President of the USA? That won’t happen, even if he starts his own cable channel.

Here’s what the author of “The Art of the Deal”, Tony Schwartz, said about Trump:

Schwartz told me that Trump’s need for attention is “completely compulsive,” and that his bid for the Presidency is part of a continuum. “He’s managed to keep increasing the dose for forty years,” Schwartz said. After he’d spent decades as a tabloid titan, “the only thing left was running for President. If he could run for emperor of the world, he would.”
