Neo-Nazis, Islamists declare 'You Jews are beasts' during protest of Israeli operation

A demonstration in Frankfurt against Operation Protective Edge erupted into violence, with protesters tossing stones at the police.

According to the Frankfurter Rundschau paper, about 2,500 protesters appeared in downtown Frankfurt, screaming “God is great,” and slogans such as “freedom for Palestine” and “children-murderer Israel.”

Eight police officers were injured. One sign at the rally was titled, “You Jews are Beasts.”

German media reported that after the protests, groups sought to locate Jewish institutions. The Frankfurt police said Jewish institutions would be protected. It is unclear if the goal was to attack said institutions.

According to the Rundschau, student organization Left-SDS, Islamists and some members of the Neo-Nazi group National Socialists Rhein-Main attended the anti-Israel protest. Flags from Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Hamas were on display at the protest. Banners compared Prime Minister Netanyahu with Adolf Hitler.

As an Iowan, democratic precinct caucus attendee, and leader in Iowa’s Jewish community, I am greatly concerned about the situation in the Mideast and your views on this matter.

I find your statement in yesterday's Des Moines Register that "nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people,” deeply troubling. I would greatly appreciate a response clarifying your statements.

The Palestinian people democratically elected their leadership, part in which, Hamas is recognized as a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union. It fails to recognize the right of Israel to exist and encourages terrorist attacks against innocent Israeli Jews, Christians and Arabs.

Again, I respectfully ask for clarification on what you believe needs to be done to bring peace to this region of the world.

The fucking truth is that a lot of 'Democrats' find it 'deeply disturbing' for a public official to show compassion to the wrong racial group.

So, the truth is that outright bigotry towards Palestinians (even moreso than against Arabs as a whole) is a big factor in American politics, and that there are people who call themselves Democrats who simply do not care about dead children if those children committed the crime of being born Palestinian.

I live in New York, and while our elected representatives are all great on health care, spending, Medicare etc, only the black ones say anything indicating they view the Palestinians as human. You won't hear a prominent white NYC politician EVER talk about the Palestinians as though they were human beings who experience the full range of human emotions and whose suffering deserves to be considered.

Christian, Jew, other, doesn't really matter, none of them give a fuck about dead Palestinian kids. Or, if they do, they keep this compassion a secret.

Hell, they won't even be seen in public with anyone from J-Street.
