Israeli Cops: Palestinians Flooding Emergency Call Center With Fake Kidnapping Alerts

Police officials in Israel say that some 42 percent of all #100 (911) emergency calls they field in Samaria and Judea (the West Bank) are false, and are being placed by Palestinians intentionally trying up tie up the lines, hobbling response time to real alerts, Israel’s Ma’ariv reported on Tuesday.

“It was really insufferable, and the dispatchers dealt with insults and abuse on a daily basis,” said a former police official who was in charge of the region until 2009.

“I saw it with my own eyes how our people in the center had to cope with it,” he said.

Since news broke of the kidnapping of three Israel teenagers, Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank have been handing out sweets in the streets to passersby and rejoicing the IDF’s unsuccessful efforts to find the boys....

....The logo of "Three Schalits" depicts a three-fingered salute, most directly in reference to the three boys abducted last Thursday night. It is also a variant of the symbol for the R4BIA, a movement that, among other things, calls for “the return of Muslims to the world stage” and “the end of the Zionists.”

On the "Three Schalits" Facebook page appear dozens of photos of smiling people holding up the three-fingered symbol, many of the sign-bearers young children.

Police arrested three men Tuesday for threatening their relative, an Arab Israeli teen who, in a strikingly pro-Israel video posted online, wraps himself in an Israeli flag and expresses solidarity with three kidnapped Israeli youths.

In the video, uploaded to YouTube earlier this week, 17-year-old Mohammad Zoabi of Nazareth called for the release of the three teens, affirmed his own identity as an Israeli, and urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop negotiating with Palestinian terrorists.

Conversely, Hamas has called on all Palestinians with security cameras to erase all their footage in order to obfuscate the terrorists' escape and make gathering evidence more difficult.

"The coordination between the Palestinian Authority's forces in the West Bank and the occupation army is akin to betrayal," Islamic Jihad member Khaled al-Batash told reporters in the Gaza Strip.
