Israel seeks speedy UN condemnation of Iran's latest calls for the Jewish state's destruction

Israel is urging the U.N. Security Council and the international community to quickly condemn Iran's calls for the destruction of the Jewish state.

In identical letters to the council and Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon circulated Monday, Israel's charge d'affaires Israel Nitzan said the recent "delusional statements of Iran's leaders are not those of crazy people, but rational fanatics, with irrational hatreds."

He pointed to statements by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and the head of the Revolutionary Guard's air force, Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, all threatening Israel's existence.

Israel considers Iran an existential threat because it is convinced that Iran is trying to build nuclear weapons. Iran denies seeking atomic weapons, saying its uranium enrichment is for peaceful purposes only.

Israel: "I'm gonna fucking kick your ass. I'm going ot blow up SO MANY of your people, dude. I don't even care if the US backs me up! You're eating armaments motherfucker! Just you see, I will lay waste to your landscape! You'll be back in the stone age!"

Iran: "Yeah, try it, we'll fight back and probably wipe the floor with your face, assholes."

Israel: "GASP! Daddy, Iran is threatening me!"

If Israel doesn't want to hear threats of retaliatory asskickings, maybe it shouldn't threaten to shoot missiles at other countries, perhaps.

Crazy Israelis? Peace-loving Ayatollahs? Tell me, do you wash your hands after pulling your gibberish out of wherever you keep it?

Israel has been threatening to launch imminent unilateral strikes against Iran for the last two weeks. The OP article points this out.
Iran is responding to these threats by saying they will retaliate to such an act of war by, well, going to war. The OP article points this out.
In response, Israel scurries to the UN to ask for a condemnation against Iran for Iran's threat to shoot back. The OP article points this out.

This isn't my "twisted, fucked-up narrative," this is what is actually going on. If you find that twisted and fucked up, well, yeah it is. Maybe instead of screaming at me, you could do some screaming at the fuckwidgets threatening to start a war.

It has NOTHING to do with your fantasy scenario,

'Gen. Hajizadeh was quoted by the Iranian news agency IRNA on Saturday as saying a possible Israeli attack is "welcome" because it would give Iran a reason to retaliate and "get rid of" the Jewish state "forever." Ahmadinejad told worshippers on Friday that Israel's existence is an "insult to all humanity" and called for the country to be wiped out. Khamenei has called Israel a "cancerous tumour" and in his latest pronouncement on Wednesday said Israel will disappear from "the scene of geography."

Tensions between Iran and Israel have intensified since 2005, when Ahmadinejad said in a speech that Israel will one day be "wiped off the map." The Iranian president has also described the Holocaust, when 6 million Jews were killed by German Nazis and their collaborators during World War II, as a "myth."

Emphasis mine, of course. I bolded, underlined, and italicized it, since you clearly missed it the first two times around. I would have changed the font size to something that even Ray Charles could see just to be safe, but that would make the excerpting look odd.

What's the context of this statement by the general, Dave? Could it be in response to Israel spending the last two weeks threatening to launch unilateral attacks on Iran?

This is not a fantasy scenario. Here's a google link for all news related to "Israel Unilateral Strike":
ink:https://www.google.com/search?q=Israel+unilateral+strike&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US fficial&client=firefox-a#q=Israel+unilateral+strike&hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=GK6&rls=org.mozilla:en-US fficial&prmd=imvnsu&source=univ&tbm=nws&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=J7w1UK3jF4jyrAGr-ICYCQ&ved=0CCAQqAI&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=a5646873907c4388&biw=1920&bih=922

Israel has been making threats. Iran's military says, to paraphrase, "Go ahead, Dare ya." Israel calls foul. it's ludicrous, really.

As for Ahmedinejad. he's an asshole. congratulations, you discovered something we found out seven years ago. Seven years of him saying asshole things and seven years of it not meaning a goddamn thing. 2005 wants its top story back.

Nowdays a lot of people minimize all the insane stuff coming from multiple sources in Iran and say that it's in response to noise from Israel , or some other nonsense .
