Ahlam Tamimi walked out of the Israeli prison with a straight back, without uttering a single word of regret for her barbarous actions. On crossing to the other side of our countrys borders, she promptly embarked once again on a campaign of activity calculated to advance the terrorists agenda. Currently, she is the star performer in a weekly television program broadcast globally throughout the Arabic-speaking world, and whose essence is the encouragement of acts of terror.

Who can forget how this woman smiled joyously into the video camera on learning that the number of children whose deaths she caused in the Sbarro massacre of August 2001 was eight, and not three as she had presumed?

(930 posts)Just to keep the war mongering going.
And the date that Israel attacked the USS Liberty and murdered 34 United States soldiers was June 8. Many more were wounded.
And of course Israel continues to beg for the release of that money loving worthless fiend who the greatest leaders of Israel would prostrate themselves to beg for his release - Jonathon Pollock.
Pollock probably has a place all decked out and waiting for him in the only country that has recently executed an unprovoked attack against the US in territorial waters.
And you posted this news item, why?

(206 posts)I noticed you haven't posted any examples of that actually happening - you know, where Israelis pass out candy and report on TV news shows with glee how many Palestinians they murdered. Or how about clips of Israeli kindergarteners reciting hate poems about Arabs and about how many Arabs they hope to kill when they are old enough? Of course, when Palestinians are killed as the result of IDF defensive operations - you are never there to bemoan the senseless attacks that caused the response, are you? It must really stick in your craw.

Is that what this thread is going to become?

(12,283 posts)since at a certain point the initial propaganda victim will have to stop posting as their ignorance of the incident becomes clear. I think of as kind of filter, its wont change their mind, but it does clear out the ignorant

(41,205 posts)By the same token, I could say that the USA 'murdered' and injured several BBC crew members in Iraq in 2003.
In any case, should we still be stuck in hatreds from 1967, a time when most of us here were either small children or as yet unborn? In 1967, Russia and China were key 'enemies' of America; Americans and Vietnamese were killing each other in large numbers; the resurgence of ethnic-religious hatreds known as 'The Troubles' was gearing up in Northern Ireland; Egypt and Jordan were Israel's enemies; Greece, Portugal and Spain were under hard-right dictatorships; Germany was divided; and the Supreme Court had JUST declared laws against interracial marriage to be unconstitutional, much against the will of several states.
Should Americans and Vietnamese still hate each other? Should the EU policies about the economic crisis in Greece be harsher because the colonels were ruling in 1967?
And how long should we go back? Should we hate the Germans and the Japanese for all time because of their actions in WW2?
'the only country that has recently executed an unprovoked attack against the US in territorial waters.'
Even if you consider it as an 'attack', it was hardly 'recently'.
