I seriously need to stop looking at our shelter's website...

We have 4 dogs (Bailey, Sadie, Brownie, and Kory) and 4 cats (Star, Cider, Dot, and Toeby). With the exception of Brownie (who we got from the neighbors who were just going to give her to anyone) all of them are shelter rescues.

Paul and I volunteer for the Iron River Animal Shelter in Iron River, Michigan. We go up there 1 to 2 times a year, bringing needed supplies and spending some time with the residents of the shelter. I always find someone who tugs at my heartstrings so much.

Today I was looking at the shelter website (http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/nas.html) and found Alba.

Her description:
Hello my friends, My name is Alba and I am a German shepherd mix girl who is looking for a new home. I am about 1 1/2 years old. I am a nice girl who is active and very playful. I love to go on walks out in the woods or in town. I'm really not picky on where I go, it's just that I love to be in the outdoors with you. As you can see, I am really quite a beautiful girl. My coloring is quite gorgeous with all the black and tans and auborn colors running together. I have quite perky ears that rise and fall with my inquisitiveness of what's going on. I do suffer from some seperation anxiety and so I need to work on that some. I just love my humans so much that missing them is really tough on me. Maybe being here at the shelter will reassure me that people are constantly coming and going but always coming back. I hope you will come in and sit with me for awhile so that we can get acquainted and possibly spend out lives...

---
Yeah, it's a good thing I'm not up there now. Our house isn't nearly big enough for another family member. As you can see, you can hardly find a place to sit.
