Then at a City Council meeting last week, residents started putting on the brakes. Although the proposed bike markings would not eliminate parking spaces or driving lanes, they still had complaints. They did not like how the bike lanes would look.

We have bike lanes almost everywhere now (including the street I live on). I barely notice them (except when I'm driving); they are hardly an aesthetic blight. I've never heard anyone complain about them.

and a very elitist place, everyone is very special there... strictly uppah crust. They'll get theirs, it's a sand bar south of Point Loma and sure to be swallowed by the sea eventually, maybe the next big hurricane that comes along a little north of the one passing a little to the south of them today.
