"taking all three of my daughters to a tattoo parlor and having them completely body tattooed"

the blue-rinse gentry strike again! and this time Coronado, CA's city council backs down in the face of the rich people's brain-rotting equivalent to meth: insular utter privilege

Then at a City Council meeting last week, residents started putting on the brakes. Although the proposed bike markings would not eliminate parking spaces or driving lanes, they still had complaints. They did not like how the bike lanes would look.
...
The lanes “bring to mind a visual cacophony that if you look there long enough it will induce a dizzying type of vertigo,” said Carolyn Rogerson.
...
“It’s very similar to personally taking all three of my daughters to a tattoo parlor and having them completely body tattooed,” she said.
...
Between 2005 and 2013 there were 803 collisions between bicycles and cars, motorcycles, or trucks in Coronado, according to state data. Seven were fatal and 48 caused severe injury.

We have bike lanes almost everywhere now (including the street I live on). I barely notice them (except when I'm driving); they are hardly an aesthetic blight. I've never heard anyone complain about them.

and a very elitist place, everyone is very special there... strictly uppah crust. They'll get theirs, it's a sand bar south of Point Loma and sure to be swallowed by the sea eventually, maybe the next big hurricane that comes along a little north of the one passing a little to the south of them today. Karma.

and could not believe they were actually saying what they said. And don't forget - it will reduce property values!!
What a bunch of lunatics. Did they all get drunk at lunch and decide to oppose this? They should be sued for every accident from now on - including their mayor.
