I think getting rid of my old PC and DISH DVR unit is saving me about $20 bucks a month.

It really doesn't seem like that could be possible, but the numbers don't lie. Unless I had some other problem that was using excess electricity that I never pinned down.

It was a real old machine and I had the case open and an extra small fan blowing on it to help keep it cool. I think I had something wrong with heat sensors on the motherboard or something too. The alarm would go off and I'd see it said I had meltdown level overheating going on when it really wasn't.

What pisses me off is that I knew I needed to junk the old system and get a nice laptop for some time. If I would have done that when I should have, the laptop would have paid for itself and a new one about now.
