Uranium is poison, they say. Well, I want to tell you folks something different: that uranium smells like money to me. (Cheers.) It smells like jobs to me. (More cheers!) Hundreds of jobs right here ... Hundreds? I mean thousands of jobs. ... Poison they say? Cancer? Leukemia? listen, folks, I’m here to tell you there’s one man don’t fear the smell of uranium, don’t fear the smell of radon. Because I lived here all my life and I worked in the first uranium mines and I’m still here and I don’t glow in the dark--(laughter) and by all heck and tarnation I’m happy as a hog in heaven.
