3. They evolved with no predators so

you can walk right by them and there's no reaction or they may snap at you. You can be working on a project and an unpaired albatross will sidle up to you and peck at your pant leg. Last winter there were over 1.5 million Laysan Albatross breeding on Sand and Eastern Island at Midway Atoll. A sight and sound to behold...
