I guess its required for them to use that money to get away. Go somewhere nice, somewhere quiet and beautiful before all the other investors see to it that it is all ground up and turned into speculative paper so Jamie can buy a new super yacht.
When your life is nothing but being a footstool for the oligarchs, a little vacation can ease the personal distress that comes from reading headlines like this.

When life sucks, go be irresponsible. Have few more children. Hop on a jet. Fuck the planet. Fuck the future generations who won't have the diversity or even stable weather conditions.

We fucked ourselves and we are going to take most of the world's species with us. We're dead men walking. Gaia will be okay in the long run and that's just going to have to be good enough.

No, I'm not saying we shouldn't do everything in our power to lessen the impact, but it is too late to save the bald monkey. At least, that's what I think.

Climate change is the single biggest threat to civilization beyond any other factor one can summon. Full stop.

But if I live a normal lifespan, I won't, heck, I'm not. I've never seen a Northwest summer like this. Blackberries ripen at my birthday. Clue, my birthday is a month away and I'm already popping berries. That part is nice, but not much else is. We are already in drought conditions. Yes, Seattle does experience drought.

I remember the part about ice melting gradually until it hits critical mass and the rest of it goes all at once.

Don't worry about it, the 1% has the situation under control...metadata collection, more police, and GMO food to the rescue. I'm not worried at all.
