A couple of days ago I posted this first graphic showing the JAXA ice extent data up to May 13, with a trend projection to the end of May:
I've decided to make this a series, and I'll be posting an update every couple of days until the end of the month. Here is the May 15 data:
May 17:
May 22:
The decline is drifting a bit above the trend line. but still shows the extent breaking below 10 million sq. km by the end of the month.
May 24:
The trend has turned down again.
May 27:
Looks like it won't hit 10M km^2 by the end of the month after all.

We could have some strange weather in North America this year.

Also so wet here that none of the local corn/soy fields have been prepared for planting yet....
