Amazon union rally in Staten Island gets a boost from Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Amazon workers are feeling the Bern.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders joined a rally of Amazon workers on Sunday, throwing his weight behind their efforts to expand on Staten Island.
Sanders, along with New York’s Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, lobbed shots at Amazon’s owner Jeff Bezos, who is strongly opposed to unionization.
“What this struggle is about is not just Amazon [and] Staten Island. This is the struggle that is taking place all across this country,” said Sanders.
