To Verizon/FIOS Customers
LOOK CAREFULLY AT YOUR MONTHLY STATEMENTS.
Even if you have a contract to pay the same price for the same services for a term (one, two years), it can change. What I mean is your bundle price is the same but taxes change. I just had a robust discussion with a Verizon rep. I didn't see that my service charge for last month was nine cents ($0.09) more than the month before and blithely wrote the amount I've written ad infinitum. Verizon charged me this month for the 9 cents AND Five Dollars for the Late Fee (which Verizon wouldn't forgive). You have been warned. Do not fall into a sense of false complacency. Read your bills.

1. Just to let you know the taxes are added to the bill and they can change
depending upon the jurisdiction levying them. Verizon has to collect them at whatever rate is set for them.

2. Don't know if it would work anymore but my sister got revenge
On her phone company.
Same thing, her bill went up by one cent and she was charged a late fee. So after that she would randomly write her payment check for a cent or two more - then insist on a check for reimbursement. This went on for several years until she got tired of jerking them around. This was long before cell phones or internet were around. |
