Ana Rosario Contreras, president of the College of Nursing of the Capital District, reported yesterday that 25 health centers in the capital were attached to the indefinite work stoppage started on Monday 25. June 30, 2018.- The executive secretary of Fetrasalud, Pablo Zambrano, announced that more than 500 thousand health workers in 20 states of the country joined the indefinite strike initiated by the Nurses' Guild, on Monday, June 25, to demand better salaries and decent working conditions, in addition to the provision and repair of the health care infrastructure of the country.

The decision was made by health professionals after an assembly at the headquarters of the Federation of Nursing Schools, in which other sectors of the union participated, said Zambrano, in a note published by El Universal.

He indicated that "the paralization includes more than 10 thousand healthcare centers, including 255 hospitals in the national network, approximately 90% of health workers," the union leader said.



On the other hand, Ana Rosario Contreras, president of the College of Nursing of the Capital District and member of the "Committee against Hunger and for Life", the body that coordinates the indefinite unemployment at the national level, explained that the medical guilds were incorporated into the conflict, pharmacists, dentists, bioanalysts, staff "because the problem affects us all"
