Opponents to Luiz Lula da Silva, former president of Brazil, threw stones and eggs on Sunday at the bus in which he was traveling in the south of the country for his tour

Demonstrators who were in the buildings near the stage where he gave his speech also threw eggs at the former president, according to images transmitted through social networks.

"I hope the police have the responsibility to enter that house, grab that scoundrel and give him a corrective," said Lula da Silva.

In the city of Sao Miguel, a similar case occurred, in which citizens threw stones to prevent him from entering the sector where he would perform an act along with his entourage.

Lula's Caravan Shot at in Southern Brazil
Published 27 March 2018

(TeleSur isn't a reliable news source. It is the LA equivalent of RussiaToday or Sputnik)

Presidential candidate and former head of state, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's bus caravan shot at while traveling in Parana state this evening.

Brazilian authorities have confirmed that the Caravan for Lula three-bus convoy was shot at least multiple times late Tuesday as it traveled between the cities of Quedas del Iguazu and Laranjeiras do Sul in the southern state of Parana, teleSUR corespondent, André Vieira, said.

Caravan members traveling in the convoy said they were unaware that the vehicle had been shot at until they sustained a flat tire. Upon examining the exterior of the bus, it was discovered that a large metal spike was lodged in one of the tires.

Journalists and other occupants of the caravan found several bullets had perforated the body of the bus, Vieira's report disclosed.

Earlier today Workers Party (PT) president Gleisi Hoffmann said the organization would be filing a complaint to an international court detailing the series of violent attack committed against ex-President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s caravan and the authorities’ lack of protection of the former president.

Seems that Lula (soon to be in prison pending his final appeal for corruption) is getting the same reception that FARC is from El Pueblo.... eggs and rotting vegetables from the people they screwed over for so long. (or in the case of FARC, murdered and terrorized)

It isn't enough to SAY you are a man of the people. You actually have to BEHAVE like a man of the people. Lula (and his successor, Dilma Rousseff) instead surrounded themselves with radicals who cared less about the people and more about lining their pockets (Petrobras, Odebrecht) and retaining power. (see picture of protests against Lula/Dilma below... these aren't businessmen in suits protesting... it is El Pueblo)
