It's illegal for the VZ private employers to fire/lay off workers... but the government does it

They denounce that the SUNDDE dismissed more than two thousand workers

The secretary of the Workers' Union of the National Superintendency for the Defense of Socio-Economic Rights (SUNDDE), Rodolfo Rojas, complained to the Ministry of Labor that the body arbitrarily dismissed "more than 2,000 workers" throughout the national territory without No qualification that justifies this decision.

Rojas reported that the Sundde is "stopped, closed; since there is no protection of the State against socio-economic rights ".

The trade unionist demanded that Superintendent William Contreras reinstate all these workers, ensuring that these dismissals are incurring in a "contempt" of the Constitution and the laws that protect Venezuelans.

He noted that the largest number of dismissals was generated on the prosecutors, who are considered as trusted personnel and held free removal positions.

Rojas stressed that the new directive of the SUNDDE decided to freeze wages, "I have a month and a half with the frozen salary and the president of the union, Lisset Alvarez, he was notified of his dismissal two months ago."

He also called on the Minister of Labor, Néstor Ovalles, to "speed up the re-engagements", as he has sent notices to Nicolás Maduro, vice president Tareck El Aissami and the constituyentista Diva Guzmán, but "none of them has yet given us an answer".

Seems the employees of the National Superintendency for the Defense of Socio-Economic Rights doesn't have the rights that the Venezuela Constitution affords it... which is fortunate, since Maduro has ignored the Venezuelan Constitution since the elections of 2015.

I don't feel too badly for them. The SUNDDE jobsworths were only too happy to destroy free enterprise and private businesses in the name of Chavismo, when they forced shops and grocers to sell their products at less than cost. Closed them all down, and these businesses didn't resupply their shelves.

First we came for the grocers, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a grocer. (I worked for SUNDDE!)
Then we came for the clothiers, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a clothier. (I worked for SUNDDE!)
Then we came for the bankers, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a banker. (I worked for SUNDDE!)
Then they terminated my job, because there wasn't any wealth created to pay me any longer.
(I used to work for SUNDDE!)

Karma.
