Hillary Clinton Room Post.
As we all know it is not easy to be a Hillary Clinton supporter on DU but I am glad that more and more members are standing up for her as it is clear she is our future.
I am glad to see posters who were not as vocal in their support becoming more vocal. I am glad more posters are fighting back against the vitriol against Hillary on this site.
We must continue to fight for her in the days to come. We must stand up for her on DU because DU still matters.
Posted in the HRC room.

(13,069 posts)And for as many posts as I make defending her, I start some and just delete--the willingness to believe any lie about her, without fact checking leads me to believe it is pointless.
The amount of praise heaped on O'Malley, would lead someone to believe he is more liberal than Clinton, which we know not to be true. Facts do not appear to be necessary.

(31,849 posts)there are two ways (probably more) to be seen as a star: either, do something outstanding; or, actively try and make everyone else bad.
The efforts you see point out which is the easier option.

(9,148 posts)That you can present a disagreement without injecting the same one sided meme we so often see .
You seem to be well above that in civility & respect for others with differing points of view.
Open minds are welcome.
1StrongBlackMan
(31,849 posts)that would strongly disagree with you regarding my civility & respect for others with differing points of view. (And I must admit that I can be just a tad bit snarky, but I'm working on that.)
But, thanks.
misterhighwasted
(9,148 posts)Agree to disagree, without a blood battle, is a better direction considering the early stages of the campaign.
I would expect my Hillary peeps to not only have my back but also humbly welcome their letting me know if I cross the line with my posted words.
That's only fair in keeping civility around here.

(112,919 posts)extending their comments to embrace utter horseshit from the RW propaganda machine.
My advice is to direct your replies to substantive criticism with grace, and to swing the hammer on the 'no difference' crowd when it blatantly presents itself.
The honest critics know the difference and will accept the exchange based on the merit, and the Rand2016 crowd will be left exposed and sputtering.

I'm not talking about dems who support someone else. I'm talking about people who sound just like drudge or rush. They don't fool me.
I will vote for the dem in 16. Even Webb if I have to.

(9,148 posts)So appreciate your reasonable post.
I know who will serve this Nation & world as the best leader.
Hillary's lifetime experience speaks for itself.
And though they protest the word 'hater', their words define them as nothing but.
I am so proud of Sec State Clinton.
I wish her strength against the opposition & all their influence.
She is such a survivor & that is the character that draws me to her.
I love what she has stood for, her entire life.

(9,148 posts)I worked for Wendy Davis for Gov campaign & this time around my determination is even stronger.
Seeing what Davis was up against is similar to Hillary's battle. After watching that dirty cluster of GOP here in Tx, I want nothing more than Hillary to influence some serious change here.
She will draw those who have been abandoned by this GOP stranglehold & bring out those who would generally avoid voting.
And if by chance Hillary should prove us right by choosing San Antonio darling Julian Castro as her VP, Texas will see a shift. That is the shift that the RW fears and for good reason.
Carry on with your campaign work. We can exchange notes as the year progresses.

Castro will help us scrape that red paint off Texas and turn her blue again.

(143,998 posts)We are forming a Hillary group in my county. I also worked for Wendy and Leticia
The Texas Democratic Party is making no secret that the top people are supporting Hillary. I would also love to see Julian Castro be the VP nominee. The Texas Democratic Party printed up some of these bumperstickers

(9,148 posts)Hrmjustin has talked about creating a DU group for HRC campaign workers to compare notes.
That would be a good thing to have, at least our campaign posts would be all in the same place. Not lost among others.
I like the way things are beginning to be organized now.
Anxious to be in the thick of it.

(9,148 posts)I see the fight ahead for Hillary Clinton and the grand possibility of being blessed by a Pres win & have decided to stick to DU & this Hillary Group a bit longer.
I've joined her campaign here in Tx. It will be a battle, but should she choose Julian Castro (HUD & ex San Antonio Mayor) the battle will quickly become a happy party.
I will give it another chance & see how long I can stand to watch DU go from informative on DU policies & our way of life, to what we have today.
I am waiting for the Clinton loathers to do some good for this 2016 election and direct their rage towards the big money, organization of the fascist RW.
I'll see how long I can last here. The Clinton campaign in Tx should keep me focused on the greater good rather than the shitty posters in GD

(143,998 posts)Carville is trying to cause problems but he may be right. The only reason that Romney dropped out is that Jeb locked up Romney's funding sources. If Jeb falters in New Hampshire after losing in Iowa, I can see Romney getting back in.
This also could be the year where the base/religious right voters agree to one candidate to run against the establismeent candidate. If that happens, we could have another 1964 where the base rejects the RNC and the establishment and selects somone like Carnival Cruz. Romney would not want Carnival Cruz to be the nominee and may jump pack in if Jeb is not viable.

(11,573 posts)who zigged when reality zagged. I like Bernie Sanders. I'm a socialist myself. But a self-identified socialist running for President would scare the daylights out of most Americans, who are already nervous about China and are beginning to realize that the only thing Putin changed is the label. I'd vote for Bernie. And the following day I'd start packing up to move back to Mexico because I will NOT endure a third Bush presidency and the horrendous damage it will cause.
hrmjustin
(71,265 posts)But Hillary is presidential and this is her year. I am for a primary and think it will help her.
The thing is I think many here are frustrated that the second Democrat has not jumped in yet.
