Bernie Sanders blocks President Obama’s FDA nominee in retaliation for Obama’s pro-Hillary stanceYesterday President Obama gave an interview in which he listed off the strengths of Hillary Clinton and the weaknesses of Bernie Sanders, as a clear way of taking sides in the 2016 democratic primary contest. We’ve all been waiting to see how Bernie would respond to the blow, whether he’d accept it graciously or ignore it or get into a war with the President. One day later, we have our answer. Sanders now says he’s using his position in the Senate to suddenly block Obama’s FDA nominee.

3. What?!!! I think BS was already not voting for that guy.. anyway bernie hasn't spent much
of his time trying to "align" himself with President Obama. Quite the opposite.
I did see where sanders is going to meet with Obama in the Oval Office on Wednesday.. maybe he figured out wanting him Primaried in 2012 and dissing him for 7 years and on the campaign trail wasn't such a good idea after all. |

5. Lady Jane
(Helena Bonham Carter and Cary Elwes) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091374/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
It features an amazing scene where Queen Mary confronts Jane and more-or-less tells her she doesn't believe much Jane is saying about her loyalty since Jane just tried to usurp her throne. Things really don't go well for Jane. (This is an amazing movie if you haven't seen it, with fantastic performances by Carter and Elwes). Warranted, we don't have a throne, but Primarying a sitting President is simply Not Done. |

4. Bitter, whining, losing Bernie
That's not really the image you want to project just before Iowa and New Hampshire, is it?
Er, apparently it is. Carry on, then, but this really doesn't solidify your chances in IA. |

7. Petty and vindictive.
I continue to believe that Obama will break precedent and endorse Hillary before the primaries are over.

11. Maybe BS thinks he can parlay this "hold" into an endorsement?
![]() I think this is a bad move. Why would you want to go to war with the head of the party before the first votes are cast? I hope the president calls him out (by name) on it. |
