I worry about us Clinton supporters.

I have been reading the pro "he who will not be named" topics I am starting to think we must be delusional?

How else do you explain our believing Hillary can win the nomination with a near 40 point lead among Democrats?

1. Crazy ain't it?

Word on the street is that math and scientific polls are tools of that old devil oligarchy.

25. I agree. They both had such similar platforms it was pretty easy to...

move forward. Also, Hillary and Bill started campaigning for Obama right away and they did a great job of it.
I doubt if Sanders will even be able to control what happens after he loses. If he endorses Hillary his followers may turn around and rip him to shreds. They don't strike me as being wrapped too tight.

21. I didn't think so.

I liked both candidates, but ended up supporting Obama. It felt win/win to me. Both were great, I just like one better. I guess some were very involved in their personal wars then, but generally, there seemed to be a higher level of respect. This time, not so much. For the record, I do like Sanders and will gladly support him if he wins the General. Just don't make me knock doors with some of the true believers. They probably wouldn't like my old school marm ass either, but for the record, I my ground game is fierce. They probably wouldn't be able to keep up with my awesome.

4. Nothing to worry abuot my friend.

We are the one's living in reality.

There is going to be a lot of crash & bern here when Hillary is nominated as the Democratic Presidential nominee, and it's NOT going to be Hillary Clinton Supporters stomping their feet taking their ball to go home.

We are just counting down till Hillary is nominated.

Democrats will unite and rejoice that we have such a strong Democratic nominee to carry us into the 2016 Presidential election.

And we'll have a front row seat.

done for a corporate supporter so we should ignore them.

Maybe if we get a poll from a partnership or a sole proprietor we could have one we can believe in.

15. I find Bernie's fans to be very selective

When it favors Clinton it should be ignored. When that fails they go to the tried and true fall back and that is to point out that Obama trailed Hillary in 2008. Not to be deterred they move on to we should ignore the polls except for the one's that show Clinton is hated.

Did I leave anything out?

13. I recently saw a really funny graphic on the Bernie site. There was a big iceberg....

that was supposed to be Hillary supporters (according to the polls) but underneath was twice as much ice (the unpolled and undercounted Bernie supporters).

They seemed to be really happy about this assurance that there were twice as many of them as pollsters knew. They RECed and posted and pat each other on the back on seeing this cartoon proof that they were WINNING!

Who needs math and science when you can whip out your pen and draw an iceberg!

19. I did this to myself When Kerry ran against Bush.

The polls were wrong, the young voters would save us, Eminem even wrote an anti-Bush song that was definitely a game changer. But no, the polls were right and even Eminem could not change that. Sigh....

I actually think the iceberg is reversed. Sanders fans have been really loud and obnoxious right from the start. They talk and talk and talk, but rarely listen. So I have been fairly quiet since it does not pay to engage with voters who are not persuadable, and it is not fun to argue with people who are a bit delusional and very rude. But my old ass school marm support (yes, someone on this site just referred middle aged women, the bedrock of the Democratic party, by this name) is solid, even if it is quiet.

18. I have questioned whether or not I'm being duped

I see the polls and endorsements and think Hillary is doing a great job, I hear her speak and I actually feel pride. Then I come to DU and pretty much every thread on the front page makes me question my sanity so I run in here for safety, but ... am I just getting a false sense of security like the Bernistas are saying? After all I just read that young people and boomers are overwhelmingly for Bernie.

I must be reading the polls wrong.

You should read the post about Libertarians and republicans raising up and carrying Bernie to the Nomination and then the White House.

One of them just told me that we didn't want down ticket Democrats reelected either! Bernie is going to magically change them into shiny new progressives!

You can't make this shit up .....But Sander's supporters sure can!

you can decide for yourself, but some serial posters over there are not Bernie supporters, they are just operatives to hate Hillary.

You're not delusional. Hillary is running a great campaign and winning.

31. This might actually be true.

A Facebook friend posted a "scientific" poll on how Sanders won the first debate. I clicked through and the entire site just didn't smell right. It is on a "news" site I have never seen before. The polling company is some cut rate business survey company. The editor-in-chief had an accounting degree from College of Charleston and looks like a total southern frat boy. It was obviously not legit. So I start Googling the names of the staff and they are all b-team GOP political operatives. I gave my friend hell about it, but seriously, this poll was. not. credible. You didn't even have to be bright to see that. And I think this guy is above-average bright. Just blinded, I guess, and totally willing to spread right wing lies to suit his own narrative. I basically like him and usually enjoy his posts. But he is hidden until after the primary, just for my blood pressure.

Hillary is running a great campaign this time. Her debate performance has been strong. Her grasp of foreign policy in the last debate was so deep and granular, she blew the other two off the stage and then blew away the moderator. And he was really good, but I could see in his eyes where he got a bit overwhelmed by her speed and grasp of facts. I am not following the details of her campaign, but from what I heard earlier, her ground game is also much better this time. Last election, she did not put enough operatives in the caucus states and then had a bad debate or two.

After my heartbreak over the Kerry/Bush campaign, I work hard at keeping it real, even if I love a candidate. I feel like I would know if she was actually in any trouble.

I would not be surprised at any funding or CT here in Florida. We know for a fact the GOP will pay off damn near anyone and pull any dirty trick they can.

32. I said as much to an op and the post was "hidden by jury decision".

Told he/she right to their face. It felt good, and I still believe its true. The far right are masters at fomenting hate speech and I'm seeing thread after thread of hate speech on this board. Other than right wing trolling, I can't fathom why Democrats who want an actual Democrat to win the nomination can be so reviled. Bernie's been a Dem for about five minutes. That matters with endorsements, party infrastructure and just plain ole Democratic voters!

33. It wouldn't surprise me...I don't post on DU much anymore for exactly that reason.

I've had a couple legitimate OP's with links "hidden" simply because they were anti-Bernie.

It's pretty easy to see post after post - sometimes hundreds - written and referenced by some researcher. The posters only joined DU recently and post nothing but anti-Hillary stuff.

If they are not paid operatives, then they must not work and they spend all day looking up stuff. I'm sure they slipped by the MIRT rules, but it's pretty clear they only disrupt GDP. Those posts cannot help Bernie because he needs Hillary voters or he has no chance to win. It's just a way to trash the DU site.

35. And why I keep posting, over and over, and it is always true.

I like both Dem candidates. I will support whoever wins the primary. I prefer Hillary Clinton, but I will not only vote for Bernie Sanders if he wins the primary. I promise to donate money, phone bank and canvass too. Because I know who the real enemy is, and it ain't Bernie Sanders. And if Bernie Sanders supporters think Clinton is the devil and I am her sulphur breathing familiar, then pay better attention. I recommend researching Bush vs. Gore. A significant number of left leaning people decided to vote for Nader because dems and reps were all the same. In retrospect, do we really think that we would have gone into Iraq if Gore won that election? I do not think so.

Trolls are just here to prey on the weak minded and foment unrest. They know they know their candidates suuuuuck and will be easy to beat. They are truly weak, so they hope they can make dems as crazy and divided as their party is right now. It's their only shot.

One thing about living in a swing state, you get to see the bad up close and personal. Helps keep priorities straight. Hell, I even walked for Kay Hagan. I would go solo, come back two hours later with a completely finished, properly filled out walk list and then bitch to the organizer about Hagan's immigration record. Did not make her happy. But I figured I did the work so they had to at least listen. She lost anyway and we got the odious Thom Tillis. pffftttt.....
