Pro-Clinton Super PAC Launches Biggest Ad Buy Yet ("How did the GOP get here?") (Hillary Group)
One day ahead of the third GOP presidential debate, the super PAC backing Hillary Clinton’s campaign, Priorities USA, is launching its biggest ad buy yet — a $1.5 million campaign attacking the Republican candidates as “Wrong for Us.”
The new push will include paid digital ads, as well as paid content on Facebook and Twitter, that will run in battleground states through the general election. And unlike past digital buys the PAC has made, the “Wrong for Us” campaign — part one of which is set for release Tuesday — is kicking off a sustained campaign seeking to demonstrate how the Republican candidates are wrong for the country on issues of women’s health, gun violence, national security, immigration, and more.
“Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush are fighting, Donald Trump and Ben Carson are fighting,” said Priorities USA communications director Justin Barasky. “This is the perfect time to drive home just how dangerous the Republican candidates running for President are.”
The first ad begins with footage of Trump bragging about posing on more magazine covers than any supermodel, and cuts to a screen that reads “Donald Trump is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination...for President. You may be asking, how did the GOP get here?”...
