Guess what? Washington State had a primary yesterday and HRC beat Bernie

On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton beat Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. She had nearly 54 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s returns in a major reversal — though purely symbolic — from March caucuses, in which Sanders dominated.

As of Tuesday, more than 660,000 Democratic votes had been counted in the primary.

The Associated Press called both races shortly after 8 p.m.

Many more people voted in the primary than in the caucuses which is common. The caucus result, however, is what counts regarding delegates. But it's interesting to see that when more people vote it is HRC who often is the victor--as she has won most of the primaries while Bernie does best in caucuses. The same thing happened recently in Nebraska. Bernie won the caucus and then a primary was held where more people vote and Hillary won that.

When you don't suppress the Dem vote with a caucus, Hillary wins. Interesting. nt SunSeeker May 2016 #12

I was reading on another website where a voter from WA said their caucus was another one of those states where you did not need to show ID indicating you live in the state, you did not need to be a registered voter, you did not even need to be a US citizen. You just sign a piece of paper indicating you want to vote that day in the Dem caucus.

That is indeed rigged.

As I pointed out in a couple of other posts I think that states should receive fewer delegates if they use a caucus or open primary. In a situation like this if true it should be a bit more drastic.

On their way out. It suppresses the senior and disable voting and for those who are working at the time of the caucus.

More than 660,000 voted in the primaries! The only value it has is that the super delegates can at least point to these results when the Bernie people harrass them.
