Watching them go down in defeat and eat their own is glorious. This is what happens when you run a campaign on perpetual victimization. When it is time to be or act rational in the face of defeat, former saviors become persecutors.

WASHINGTON — The Senate, opening debate Wednesday on amendments to the sweeping overhaul of Wall Street regulation, adopted a bipartisan compromise establishing new procedures for averting another financial meltdown like the 2008 crisis.

On a 96-1 vote, the Senate adopted an amendment by Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) declaring that no taxpayer funds would be used to shore up failing financial institutions in the future.
...
Boxer, who is cutting a populist profile in her reelection campaign this year, said, "If there's one thing we should all be able to agree on, it is this: The American taxpayers should never again have to bail out Wall Street firms that gambled away our savings and wreaked havoc on our economy."

i.e. College-age and twentysomethings. These kids, born after 1995 or so, were raised entirely different than us older people. This is probably the first Presidential election where the "everyone gets a trophy" millennials have been able to vote. These kids who grew up using playgrounds with foam on the ground and plastic covering the handles of the swings, so that they don't get pinched, and who were covered from head to toe before they were allowed to go ride their bike around the neighborhood. They were raised to believe that they're special and entitled to everything, so Bernie's message is right on par with how they were brought up and anyone with an opposing opinion is "the enemy" or coming from "not a safe space," and it's been fascinating to see how that upbringing has translated into politics.

And this is why we shouldn't paint with a broad brush when we talk about "Bernie Supporters." The real danger in the way Bernie has continued to justify his existence in this race by dog whistling to his supporters about the validity of every election he loses is that he'll not be able to walk that back. Most of them are in fact reasonable. But some of them are entitled and can no longer be fact checked. Basically it's a similar problem that Republicans have. They've told their supporters not to believe facts, Trump shows up lying, and they tried to fact check him, but couldn't because "facts" don't exist.

Hillary won Nevada, factually. But Bernie implied some form of fraud. So, now when they show up to the state convention, and do a delegate count, and Hillary wins, a SMALL portion (worth repeating, this is not a majority of his supporters there) of his supporters won't accept it, largely because he told them to question any election result that didn't go his way.

The problem is he empowered his mob, and he can't control them. He tried to. Here is a statement he released, telling his supporters to NOT do exactly what they are doing:

https://berniesanders.com/press-release/sanders-statement-nevada-democratic-party-convention/

Meanwhile, his own people at the convention are getting up on stage and telling this small portion of his supporters to shut up and stop causing a ruckus, and they are getting booed. You empower the entitled, tell them they're winning when they're not, then tell them to accept the defeat...some of them just won't listen. That's where we're at.

But to be clear, most of his supporters at the convention are behaving, are trying to control the loud, disruptive minority...they just can't. No one can. Bernie doused the matches in kerosene, lit them on fire, and now it's Berning out of control.

in another thread I wrote that the majority has been tacitly endorsing this behavior by not condemning it. Here, they did at least actually try to stop it, but now realize it's out of control. I think they are only now coming face to face with the issue they've created. Ample time to weed out that element before the Convention though.

If he wants any Committee chair position, and doesn't want the Dems to run candidates against him...aka his old job back, he better get his people in order.

And by "his people" I mean the 40 or so causing the ruckus while over 1,000 of his supporters look on in horror. So he basically needs to train the people at these conventions and have them recognize that this won't be tolerated. He tried to do it last minute by releasing a statement telling them not to do so, but not everyone got the message and/or cares.

This Politifact has the tic toc...Today Hillary, definatively won the at the Nevada state convention...

Politifact from April - No, Bernie Sanders didn't retroactively win Nevada

http://www.politifact.com/nevada/statements/2016/apr/07/blog-posting/no-bernie-sanders-didnt-retroactively-win-nevada/

Hillary Clinton was declared the winner of Nevada’s presidential caucuses back in February, but some supporters of Bernie Sanders are claiming the Vermont senator might have won the state after all.

The pronouncement came after Sanders delegates ended up outnumbering Clinton’s during the hectic Clark County Democratic Convention on April 2, leading many media outlets and supporters to declare that Sanders retroactively "won" the state by outmaneuvering Clinton.

So, did Sanders add another state to his column as many have claimed?

The answer is no, and it likely will remain that way.

We’ll tell you why.
