Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumJust until recently many on Du were advocating that we vote for Bernie
because he will turn independents and republicans into Democrats. (or at least vote for him).
now, that Trump has been declared the GOP candidate, and a lot of Republicans are switching to HRC, I've been reading all these comments about how this means that Hillary is a Republican.
Really twisted pretzel logic. If he attracted republicans, its because he is incredibly progressive, is she attracts them its because she is incredibly conservative.
Fuck that shit.

(24,523 posts)the Bernie supporters. They are the ones who turned this place into a cesspool. Oh, and you are in the Hillary Clinton Group. I realize you are only channeling Bernie, but you really don't get to go into someone else's place and start dictating the rules.

(41,965 posts)Trying to "convince" young conservatives. At the time, Sanders was still talking about a revolution and his "army of millions"--everyone was invited, apparently. That was cool beans, back in the day. (LU endorsed Trump, BTW--or at least the university president Falwell did)
The indications that even republicans are so disgusted with Trump they will vote for the Democratic nominee, is indicative of only that--the disgust with Trump.
I agree. Fuck that shit.

(50,783 posts)The numbers just don't add up. Not when turnout in 2016 is lower than in 2008 except for Illinois by 435 votes and in Michigan. Michigan had a higher voter turnout only because Obama and other Democrats had their name removed from the ballot.
There were over 6.5 million more votes in 2008 than in 2016. Where are those independents and Republicans that Sanders talks about? In Indiana's primary on Tuesday turnout was just under 50% of 2008.

(15,741 posts)She appeals to LINDSAY Graham. Bernie appeals to my neighbor.
Will she fight for a public option or against the costly trade agreements for me in order to secure my vote?
Not that it matters. Bernie will win

(2,897 posts)Whatever benefits Bernie. Hell, even the candidate is using it to try and parse out some way to take super-delegates based off of his victories while negating the gains that Clinton would have based off hers. It's desperation and hypocrisy all wrapped into a unappealing bundle.
